[ R E V I E W ] : U:LINDSAY Rose Magic Modeling Gel Mask Pack

Happy Halloween! I hope you are all doing well and are feasting on Halloween from wherever you are. We have very few Halloween parties here in our country since we spend it by visiting our departed loved ones, as tradition goes. But certainly, there are still some parts in the city where parties are held and you know what that means aside from pumpkins: Costumes! Cosplays! I would absolutely love to experience such event someday. Random fun fact about me that nobody asked for: I used to cosplay when I was younger so this is so my thing LMAO. 

Anyway, I decided to try on and review this particular product which was kindly sent to me by Miss Jean of Madforcos 'cause the look and texture of this peel-off mask is quite timely and fitting for this Holiday. Read on to know what I'm talking about BUT!!! Heads up for the queasy. If you're sensitive to slimy stuff, bloody and gory looking textures, I suggest you turn back and run while you can. While it's just that, a bloody, Red, slimy looking mask, it may still look too graphic for some. Apologies in advance :((

U:LINDSAY Rose Magic Modeling Gel Mask, 3CE brush & a recycled aloe gel tub 

WHAT IT IS:

It is a special mask that mixes gel (step 1) and powder (step 2). It nourishes and moisturizes the skin, also instantly calms the irritated skin with excellent cooling effect. (from madforcos.com)

- Contains various high-moisture, nutrient ingredients in a gel. 

- It is packed full of excellent moisturizing and nutritional benefits than ordinary modeling packs.

- Filled with nutrients that deliver deep moisturization and nutrition. 

- It helps to make skin healthy while lowering skin temperature

- Dramatic glow when you peel off the mask

- Has Rose extracts that are full of moisturizing and nutritional ingredients

- Various large and small particles transmit moisture to the skin layer to lighten the skin and keep it moisturized

DIRECTIONS: 

1. Pour gel (50g) & powder(5g) to a tray and mix them quickly with a spatula.

2. Apply it onto face and peel it off in 25-30 minutes.

3. Gently massage remaining essence into the skin.

IMPRESSIONS:

- Gel possesses a strong Rose scent, which I like but if you are scent-sitive, it might be too strong for you.

- The mixture of the gel and powder must be mixed quickly since it coagulates really fast.

- The texture of the mask is wet, slimy and permeable.

Then it becomes like this, bouncy and permeable

EXPERIENCE:

I let the mask mixture sit on my face for a good half an hour. In my experience, it did not solidify or come to a consistency where you can peel it off without tearing it apart. I used Beaudiani Damask Rose Facial Mist after, for an extra boost of hydration.

THOUGHTS:

PROS:

 There is a lot of product good for one usage. I was not able to apply all of the mixture on my face, there was still about 1/8 of the mixture left in my mixing bowl. I believe it would be good for two persons.

 The mask, when applied, is very cooling and soothing to the face. This would be perfect for those whose skin is easily irritated.

 You can feel the hydrating effect even during the masking time.

 It comes off easily, did not hurt at all even after I have mistakenly applied on my brows and baby hairs.

 My skin instantly looked bright and plump upon peeling off the mask. My redness was also reduced.

 There was left-over essence after peeling off the mask which you can spread on and massage onto your face.

 My skin felt moisturized and still looked radiant until I woke up the following morning.

CONS:

 It doesn't set dry. The mask is still wet and slimy even after 30 minutes of sitting on my face.

 You might not be able to peel the mask off in one piece since it was very fragile, it tears easily apart.

FINAL THOUGHTS: 

Personally, I am a fan of wash off and peel off masks especially the hydrating ones. It seems that my excessive oiliness is reduced whenever I use hydrating products. It is exactly what this U:Lindsay Rose Mask did. It provided me that integral hydration my skin is looking for, plus it immediately brightened my skin. It was visibly luminous and lively upon peeling the mask off which I so love! Overall, I am most likely bound to hoard this soon!
